The average American home has about 20 electrical appliances that suck up electricity even after being turned off. Save Money on Swimming Pool Power

You can save money on the amount of energy your swimming pool uses. One way that you can do this is by using an efficient pool pump. Most residential pools only need a pump that is 75 horsepower. It is also important that you only use your pool pump when necessary. It shouldn't be operating 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days a year. In fact, you only need the pump to be running six hours a day. The pump also does not need to be running all day non stop. In fact, it works more efficiently if you let it run several short cycles throughout the day instead of continuously for hours at a time all day.
